Winter Training,  AFA 7v7 League, Youth Indoor, and Beginner Lax Camp
Begins: Week of November 14th  (no performance Nov. 26; no performance or 7v7 Dec 23-28)
Ends: Jan. 10
Duration:
9 week elite performance program, 23 sessions 
8 week intermediate performance program, 16 sessions 
8 week 7v7 League

Winter Program Registration and Payment

Elite Athlete Strength, Performance, and Sport Development Program
Our most comprehensive program offers high school athletes committed to college athletics, in the recruitment process or entering recruitment the opportunity to advance to the next level through our advanced strength, performance and athletic training model. We focus on a number of areas of athletic performance such as strength, explosive power, speed, agility, balance, and endurance. Athletes will train three times a week for 9 weeks. Participation includes two weekly strength and performance sessions at our SportHQ indoor performance room and one outdoor speed, agility, endurance session.

Ages: 9th - 12th grade
Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays
Time: 7:30 - 8:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays at SPORTHQ indoor performance
2:00 - 3:00 PM on Sundays on Grass field at SportHQ
Location: Sport HQ Indoor Performance and Grass field
Duration: 9 weeks; 23 sessions - Nov. 12 (thurs) - Jan. 10 (no performance Nov. 26; no performance  Dec. 23-28)
Cost: $425 Current AFA Athletes Only due to capacity restrictions
for 9 week, 23 session package

Intermediate Strength, Performance, and Sport Development Program
Our Intermediate Performance Program is designed to prepare younger athletes for the demands of high school weight training, varsity athletics and travel competition. Our program focuses on the fundamentals of speed, agility, and jumping, as well as how to lift weights with proper form and technique. Intermediate performance athletes train twice a week with an emphasis on core movement fundamentals, speed, agility, balance, endurance, strength, and coordination. Participation includes one weekly strength and performance session at our SPORTHQ indoor performance facility and one outdoor speed, agility, endurance session.

Ages: 6th - 8th grade
Days: Tuesdays and Sundays
Time: 6:30 - 7:30 PM on Tuesdays at SPORTHQ indoor performance facility 
 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Sundays Grass Field SportHQ
Location: SPORTHQ indoor performance facility and Sport HQ Grass
Duration: 8 weeks; 16 sessions - Nov 15 (Sun.) - Jan. 10 (No session Nov. 27)
Cost: $300 Current AFA Athletes Only due to capacity restrictions        
for 8 week, 16 session package

High School 7v7 League
This will be the ninth season of our very successful 7v7 league for high school lacrosse athletes. A smaller field of play, and an accelerated pace ensure maximum touches, passing, and shooting opportunities.

Ages: 9th grade - 12th grade lacrosse players (prior lacrosse experience required)
Days: Saturdays
Time:11:00 or 12:00  (times vary according to game schedule)
Location: ACP (Apex Community Park)
Duration: 8 weeks - Nov. 14th - Jan. 9th  (no 7v7 on Dec. 26th)
Cost: $95.00 Current AFA Athletes
         $125.00 Non AFA Athletes

Middle School Girl’s 7v7 League
We are once again offering a 7v7 League for our middle school athletes. 5th through 8th grade athletes are welcome to join this program, keep a stick in hand during the off season and improve your lacrosse agility, stick, and shooting skills through this fast paced 7v7 game.

Ages: 5th - 8th grade lacrosse players  (all skill levels welcome)
Days: Saturdays
Time: 11:00 or 12:00 (times vary according to game schedule)
Location: ACP (Apex Community Park)
Duration:  8 weeks - Nov. 14th - Jan. 9th  (no 7v7 on Dec. 26th)
Cost: $95.00 Current AFA Athletes

Middle School Shooting Clinic
This hour will focus directly on the mechanics of shooting, the different ways to shoot, dodging to goal, and shooting from an assist.  Sessions  will build from the fundamentals of correct footwork and hand placement to using your body to shoot with speed and accuracy.  These are all critical skills for those looking to play at attack or midfield.
Ages: 6th - 8th grade 
Days: Saturdays
Time: 10:00 - 11:00
Location: ACP (before 7v7 league)
Duration: 8 weeks - Nov. 14th - Jan. 9th 
Cost: $ 125 Current AFA Athletes
         $ 175 Non AFA Athletes

Youth Lacrosse Indoor League
Everything about stick skill improvement is about “touches”. A touch is a throw, a catch, cradling, and shooting. Getting as many touches as possible is the key to stick skill improvement. The Youth Lacrosse Indoor League is designed as an organized method to get catching, shooting, passing, and cradling to a higher level while also working on agility and footwork. Indoor scrimmages will give athletes the chance to put their skills to work in game scenarios. 
Ages: 2nd - 5th grade (5th graders may play both youth indoor AND middle school 7v7)
Days: Tuesdays
Time: 6:30 - 7:30
Location: SportHQ; Indoor Futsal Court
Duration: 8 weeks - Nov. 17th - Jan. 5th 
Cost: $135 Current AFA Athletes
         $175 Non AFA Athletes

AFA Beginner Camp

AFA is once again hosting our beginner camp for athletes new to lacrosse. This 4 week camp will focus on the fundamentals of the sport and include instruction on basic stick skills (cradling, catching, throwing), shooting, offensive and defensive positioning, and lacrosse IQ basics. We are also offering beginner goalie training for those girls interested in the very important goalie position. The camp curriculum is designed by our AFA travel coaching staff to prepare athletes to play at the rec and travel level.
Ages: 2nd - 5th grade 
Days: Sundays
Time: 3:30 - 5:00
Location: Sport HQ Grass Field
Duration: 4 Weeks - Nov. 22nd - Dec. 13th 
Cost: $150
          $75 GOALIES ONLY
